Akratherm System: Overview

The Akratherm System is a very versatile and simple system which is easily assembled and configured on site with system accessories to create bespoke rooflight, daylighting and translucent wall cladding solutions for non-standard buildings and building details. The Akratherm System is capable of meeting the challenges that non-standard rooflight and daylighting applications can create in industrial, commercial or domestic projects.

 The sheets are available in nine thickness 4, 6, 8, 10, 16, 20, 25 and 32mm. The system can be used on any type of project but are particularly suitable for large area applications of roofing, rooflighting, daylighting, cladding and glazing that are regularly found on industrial buildings, transport infrastructure buildings, sports stadium walls and roofs.

For added flexibility and versatility the sheets can be easily cold curved on site and in conjunction with the systems accessories high load bearing performances can be achieved. The system accessories include special profile pieces in polycarbonate and aluminium, a wide choice of system specific gaskets and fixings.

The Akraplus System is a transparent flat sheet system in solid polycarbonate with excellent mechanical properties and a high impact strength. It is suitable for translucent walls, roofs, rooflights, daylight panels either flat or curved.

The range includes sheets in various thickness, available in full sheet or made to order.

The sheets are available in eight thickness 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12mm. Solid polycarbonate sheets are very flexible, easy to work with, durable, impact resistant and low weight compared to other glazing materials.

The Akratherm System is suitable for numerous applications in construction, security, health and safety projects.
